Tennis Club de Vence is a hidden gem in the quaint art filled town of Vence, France.  This club features only clay courts which you will see a lot of in France.  For those of you who have never played on clay courts, these courts are softer and easier on the joints than a hard court.  It takes a bit of time to get used to playing on the clay courts the first time as the ball has a different bounce to it on clay.  It can be dangerous if the court is too wet as you can slide easily and injure yourself as you can on a hard court.  Tennis club de Vence does a nice job of keeping their courts adequately watered and maintained.  And, when you are finished with your match, be sure to drag your court for the next group.  Have a nice cold beer after you play and enjoy the Vence air.
This court has showers, but make sure to bring a towel and some soap!
